I’m Tanya – if I sum up myself in a few words it will be, a mother, mostly dreamer, and little creator. I am a passionate cook and a loving wife.
I love dark chocolates, cold coffee, and avocado. I enjoy spending time with my toddler & fur baby. I love to dream of a better place for everyone.
I am trying to make this better place by creating awareness through slow fashion and minimalism. This is how I find the fulfilment of my life’s journey.
I am shy and a quiet person. I am trying to connect with others through my art. Hand-stitching and quilting are therapeutic for me.
Craft - spread love and warmth
While growing up, fascinated by my mother's sewing machine and dressmaking, I hand-stitched dresses from leftover fabrics. As I grew older, the innocence of teens fell away, and the truth of the world reshaped my dreams.
While I loved the feel of fabrics, I put aside my childhood dream for good. After a frustrating eight years in other industries, I quit KPMG to take a wild leap of faith and enrolled in Fashion Design.
With the growing need for slow fashion, my quest for organic and natural handwoven fabrics began. What would have been a long-lasting gift for my daughter's first birthday than a handmade blanket? After a month of work, I was able to quilt the blanket for my daughter that gave all the love, warmth & comfort.
My love for Indian crafts, slow fashion, handwoven and sustainable fabric, natural materials and minimalism found expression in MulberryLoom. It is an honest attempt to share my craft & love with the rest of the world.
